Imphal: After a long wait, the State Government has declared the results of the much-anticipated 10th and 11th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) recruitment in the late night of Friday.
Director General of Police P Doungel issued a notification on Friday, announcing the direct recruitment of 1350 posts of Riflemen of 10th & 11th IRB and 480 additional posts of Riflemen (MR&IRB) in Manipur Police Department subject to police verification and medical examination reports.
The order further directed the selected candidates to report to IGP (Adm) at 1st MR Imphal for collection of police verification form from October 20 to 22 and submit the same along with relevant documents on or before October 28 during working hours.
Notably, on Friday late night, several candidates stormed the Police Headquarter to get the results of IRB recruitment. On October 26, the State Government issued an order for direct recruitment of 1,350 posts of Rifleman for 10th and 11th IRB and 480 additional posts of Rifleman (MR/IRB) in Manipur Police Department. The written test examination for recruitment of IRB riflemen was held on January 20, 2020 at Main Stadium Khuman Lampak. Altogether 6,750 candidates selected in the written test faced interviews. However, the result of the viva voce was stalled for about three years, causing panic among the job seeking youths in the State.
