Likla launches its retail outlet at Kpi DHQs

KANGPOKPI: Undoubtedly the most valued foods brand in the state, Likla expanded its exclusive retail outlet at Kangpokpi District Headquarters Sunday for its second project initiated beyond the capital city limits with an objective to render its strong brand equity services across different districts of the state.

Maharabam Pradip, IPS, Superintendent of Police Senapati graced the launching ceremony of Likla Bakery in the name of Gugun and Ngambom Company (G&N Co.) as Chief Guest while Thangjakam Misao, Vice Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills, Lalminlen Misao, MPS, Addl. SP Kangpokpi, eminent actress Bala Hijam, Brand Ambassador of Likla, Thangjam Joykumar Singh, Managing Director, Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd., Prof. N. Mohendro Singh, Advisor, Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd., Rev. Lamkeng Lhouvum, KBC and Lunseh Kipgen, Chairman, KTC also attended the opening ceremony.

Apart from other officials of Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd., others Councillors of ADC Sadar Hills, Kuki Inpi Manipur President, Khaimang Chongloi, KWWO and KYU members and other CSOs leaders also attended the function.

It was the eighth retail outlet of Likla Bakery and the seventh outlet in franchise model while one operates independently as its own outlet.

Likla opened its first retail outlet in 2017 which inspired several entrepreneurs throughout the state to venture in the same line of business and since then it has been operating in different territories in Imphal city while acting as one of the top leading companies in the state of Manipur in generating employment.

Today, Likla has provided job employment to nearly 650 employees out of which 60 employees are working only in the retail sales division which contributes in bringing down the prevailing unemployment issue of the state.

It aims at providing hygienic and quality products to its customers with a range of more than 100 varieties of exclusive food and bakery products while exotic beverages will also be available in the newly opened store.

Inspired by the growing trend of young entrepreneurs in the society, IPS Maharabam Pradip, SP Senapati said that entrepreneurships idea of our youth in the society is a sign of development as it will definitely bring capitalism changes in the society which can boost the overall development of the state.

“Many developments have started flowing in and many more are yet to come. People of Kangpokpi must keep peaceful environment in the town so as development to take place in its maximum shape and size”, asserted Lunseh Kipgen, Chairman KTC while adding that launching of Likla Bakery in the town will not only benefit the denizens of Kangpokpi town but the entire district as a whole.

“If you want to develop you must keep knowledge and courage go together”, said Prof. N. Mohendro Singh, Advisor, Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. Before adding that commercial expansion is the beginning of development and no one can stop this.

There are many more commercial expansions to come in Kangpokpi because it has a great potential. But the challenge is how to mobilize or tap the talents of many young entrepreneurs potential, he said and added that Kangpokpi has land, manpower, and potential but it depend on the unity of the people for its development.

Earlier, Maharabam Pradip, IPS, SP Senapati cut the ribbon as mark of inaugurating the eight retail outlet of Likla Bakery after Rev. Lamkeng Lhouvum invoke a dedicating and blessing prayer in the presence of other dignitaries.

The two childhood friends, Gugun and Ngambom while speaking to media persons said that it is with an idea to generate employment to the local that they have approach Thangjam Agro Industries Pvt. Ltd. to open its bakery retail outlet Kangpokpi.
