KANGPOKPI: The Kuki Students’ Organization Sadar Hills highly lauded the Kangpokpi District Administration for the relentless efforts in ensuring the PMGKAY and OMSS rice for the month of April.
The rice reach one and all from towns to the remotest villages, the rich and poor alike with each person getting 5 kg of rice.
It is all because of the herculean task the District Administration had gone through in making correct assessmet of all beneficiaries based on 2011 census and the estimated popuation growth to cover both NFSA beneficiaries(Card holders) and non beneficiaries (non card holders) this time courtesy the OMSS rice purchased with the MLALAD funds, said KSO Sadar Hills President Thangminlen Kipgen.
He applauded the efforts taken up by DC Kangpokpi, Lalithambigai Kalidas, IAS and her staff and SDO’s right from the day of lifting the rice from godown till it was fully distributed without any discrepancy, pilferage, siphoning, or any other undesirable activity.
Thangminlen Kipgen asserted that KSO Sadar Hills stand with the District Administration for its swift action against erring officials from concerned department to rectify glitches vis-a-vis the rice allocations and distributions by putting them to task.
The student body also appeals to the District Administration to continue in its endeavour to streamline the system of PDS rice distribution in Kangpokpi district.
