KANGPOKPI: The proposed total blockade along National Highway-2 from 6:00 am of January 21 in connection with the Hit and Run case on January 15 under the aegis of KSO Sadar Hills has been called off late this afternoon.
According to KSO Sadar Hills, even if the culprit involved in the Hit and Run case where a member of KSO who is also a Theologian was killed on January 15 evening is yet to known and book as assured by the Police Department, the BIPL has come up to own a moral responsibility over the unfortunate incident and offered financial assistance to the victim’s family as well.
Considering the BIPL taking the moral responsibility, the KSO Sadar Hills have decided to call off its proposed total blockade along NH-2 with immediate effect.
However, KSO Sadar Hills said that the police investigation on the matter will continued while important samples collected on the spot and others relevant sample were send to the Forensic Department by the police.
It also said that the dead body which still remain at RIMS Morgue will be claimed tomorrow after post mortem.
