KANGPOKPI: The Kuki Students’ Organization (KSO) Ukhrul District, Manipur urged the Government of Manipur to fulfill the demand of the All Manipur Hill Districts MGNREGS Employees’ Association (AMHDMEA).
AMHDMEA has been demanding for service regularization of hill districts MGNREGS employees. However, the state government has done nothing to fulfill their demand despite repeated appeal, KSO said adding that the inaction and delay on the part of the state government has infuriated the hill districts MGNREGS employees leading to serve a deadline to the state government.
KSO shall continue to give our fullest support to the AMHDMEA in their pursuance to achieve their demand, the student body said.
KSO also stated that five years have passed since the state government regularized the valley districts MGNREGS employees but so far no service regularization process in respect of hill districts MGNREGS employees has been initiated on the part of the state government.
Such discriminatory act of the state government can facilitate trust deficit which in turn can seriously impair hill-valley relations, it stated.
The student body also said that hill districts MGNREGS employees, too, are long sufferers and they equally deserve service regularization.
It urged the state government to fulfill the demand of the hill districts MGNREGS employees on grounds of their long suffering so that the much quoted slogan “CHINGTAM AMATANI” happens into reality.
