IMPHAL: While welcoming the Government of India’s sanctioned of widening/strengthening of Pallel- Chandel Christian Section through the NHIDCL, the Khurmi Naga People’s Organisation (KNPO) has assured of full support while calling on the public to do the same.
In a press release, Huten Alexander, GS of KNPO stated the people of Chandel are happy to learn that the NIHDCL hasissued Letter of Acceptance to the M/S Krishna Construction Company.
Alexander also stated that the people understands the work has been delayed due to the COVID 19 Pandemic situation gripping the State of Manipur but added that it has been the public’s desire that the work is executed at the earliest.
The public at large is anticipating that the company shall execute the work by maintaining standard Quality. Therefore, the public and the Villages along the Pallel-Chandel Christian Section are appealed to cordially extend cooperation to the any work related to road widening, Alexander appealed.
The KNPO appealed to the public and the concern Village Authorities inhabiting along Pallel – Chandel Christian Section to approach the concern Land Acquisition Authority of the District or Deputy Commissioner Office on any matter relating to land compensation and not to cause hurdles to work implementing agency.
Meanwhile, the Civil Society Organizations of Chandel assures the Company that we shall extend our humble cooperation and other logistic support for the good service of the public, Alexander said.
The GS of KNPO also stated that the District Administration has been appraised to install TrueNat Machine for the District Hospital Chandel and other Community health centres. Though, two Medical Department representatives from the Manipur Health Services were deputed to Chandel to discuss with the District Administration, no concrete action taken by the
State Government of Manipur is known till date, Alexander said.
We want to appeal the State Government that with Government of India having released good amount of fund to deal with the COVID 19 Pandemic situation, there should not be any issue for paucity of fund to procure TrueNat Machine for the District Hospital as well as the Community Health Centres, Alexander said.
