KCYC draw an attention of state government

IMPHAL: The Kangchup Chiru Youth Club (KCYC) has drawn the attention of the state government to take up measures for the welfare of its pineapple farmers which have produced lots of pineapple but no market to sell them.

A press release of KCYC signed by its president J.O Thonsing stated that due to lockdown across the state, the people in the state has been facing various difficulties and suffering particularly villagers of Kangchup Chiru village located under Kangpokpi district.

It was stated that the Kangchup Chiru village was just a distance of 16 Kms away from the heart of the Imphal city and added he said as of now the farmers of the village has produce abundance of pineapple but unfortunately the pineapple has been keeping without selling because there is no place or markets to sell the production. So, the KCYC drew the attention of the state government to look into the matter and take up some measures in the interest of the famers.
