IMPHAL: Jawaharlal Nehru (JN) Dance Academy Manipur strongly condemned against the inappropriate yet most uncultured behavior from the insightful perspective of art and culture platform of those students involved in vandalizing chairs with intend to cause harm during the academic council meeting held at the office of Manipur University of Culture (MUC) on Saturday.
During a press meet held at JN Dance Academy on Monday, JNDAM Director in charge Pukhrambam Vilash attended along with Padmashree Thourani Sabi, Shahitya Award Nameirakpam (o) Hemolata and Senior Guru Konsam Kumar collectively made a decision of not taking part in any of the official and administrative activities relating with Manipur University of Culture (MUC). The decision was taken due to preclude of students who desire to get admission at the University for their higher studies that’ve completed their diploma and degree courses from JN Dance Academy Manipur.
Director in Charge P. Vilash stated that the academic subject of Dance and Sankritan under MUC have been held for the post almost by those who’ve passed their diploma courses from JNDAM. He has raised the question of how such diploma and degree certificate holders have been recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC), but disallowed and creates havoc in matters for the enrollment of master degree in the University. JNDAM will always stand and would never repeal the decision made to allow enrolling those students who hold diploma or degree certificates of JNDAM for their master degree at Manipur University of Culture. Therefore, JNDAM will not be accepting any invitations and suspend cooperation with the University, he added.
