IMPHAL: The Ipak Films Production Manipur has distributed prizes of the Ipak Online Painting Competition 2020 which was organised under the theme “Covid-19” between May 24 and June 2, 2020.

Ipak Films Production Manipur stated in a press release that the cash prizes and citations have been directly handed over to the winners by a team comprising of production secretary Rakesh Naoram and the secretary of Smart Security Service secretary Leimajam Pratap by visiting the residences of the candidate.

It also mentioned that Daulas Lambamayum of Wangkhei Awangpali, Venish Keisham of Singjamei, Jackson Tayenjam of Leiphrakpam Awang Leikai bagged the first, second and third positions of the online painting competition, while, Presila Heikrujam of Singjamei Oinam Thingel and Aheibam Puja of Kongba Kshetri were also awarded the Ipak Peace Special Award for Painting, 2020.

The prizes included cash awards of Rs 2000 for the 1st position holder, Rs 1500 for the 2nd position holder, and Rs 1000 for the 3rd position holder. Sums of Rs 1000 each handed to the winners of the Ipak Peace Special Award for Painting in a serial wise system, he added.

It continued to mention that Principal of IRE Group of Institution, Wangjing, Narengbam Rajivkumar Singh, Headmistress (In Charge) of Langthabal Kunja Jr. High School, Kshetrimayum Bebilee, eminent writer Kesho Singh Irengba, Secretary of Sheihek Sheireng Sheipal Shemgat Lup (SHEIPAL) KC Gita and well known painter Maikel Konthoujam donated the prizes for the online painting competition.

During the distribution of the prizes the Rakesh Naorem expressed that such competitions have been organized as a part of taking initiative in transforming the life of students who have been reduced to living with nothing to do amidst the Covid-19 Pandemic.

On the other hand, it was informed that the production team is making arrangements for a 3 month films acting training course for interested students of above 18 years. The course is expected to start by the end of September under the initiative of Film Forum Manipur and Khengjonglang Theater, he added.
