Imphal: Angom Bina Devi, an international Kungfu player from Ningthoukhong Ward No. 14 has sought the attention of the State government to provide her a suitable government job.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club on Friday, Angom Bina Devi said that she had won three gold medals in the First South Asian Kungfu Championship, 2018 held in Nepal organised by South Asia Kungfu Federation. Angom Bina clarified that she had mistakenly mentioned that she had won three gold medals in the Wushu Championship held in Nepal.
She pledged that she will work harder to bring laurels to the State as she has not lost the spirit of sportsmanship.
The Kungfu player said that she is a widow of three children and her husband passed away in the year 2009. Saying that at present she is living hand to mouth as a daily wager, she appealed to Chief Minister N Biren Singh to provide a suitable government job to her on humanitarian grounds.
