Indian Fighter Roshan Mainam secures another win in ONE Championship

Imphal: Roshan Mainam defeated China’s Liu Peng Shuai in a Mixed Martial Arts contest at the ONE Championship event named ONE: Reign of Dynasties in Singapore on October 9, 2020 by making his opponent tap in the second round with a rear-naked Choke submission move.⠀

This was the second fight for Roshan Mainam at ONE Championship and with the win, his professional MMA record has now improved to 5 wins and 2 losses. He also has 2 wins out of his 2 fights in ONE Championship, which is the biggest combat sports promotion in Asia.

The Manipuri star is training at EVOLVE MMA team in Singapore. He was selected to the EVOLVE team last year after he impressed in the trials which had participation from all around the world.

Roshan Mainam was also the first Indian fighter to join EVOLVE. After Roshan Mainam, Indian Wrestling star Ritu Phogat had also joined the team.

Roshan Mainam had his first fight in ONE Championship back in November 2019 against Khon Sichan of Cambodia. He had won that fight in the first round as well.
