IGP CRPF (Manipur, Nagaland) calls on CM

IMPHAL: The Randeep Datta, IGP, Manipur and Nagaland sector of CRPF, called on chief minister N. Biren Singh at CM office on Monday. The IGP greeted the chief minister with a maple tree sapling.

As per a press note, the IGP informed the chief minister that he joined the officer of IGP (M&N) sector on June 1, 2020 on transfer from the CRPF Academy Gurugram.

Further the IGP also informed the CM that the CRPF has planted 20,000 saplings of trees in Manipur today as a part of “Akhil Bharatiya Vriksharopan Abhiyan” which was observed all across the country.

It was also stated that CRPF has targeted to plant more than 22 lakhs trees till July 27, 2020, the day on which the CRPF came into existence. The paramilitary will continue to shoulder its social responsibilities in Manipur along with its primary objectives of ensuring internal security, the IGP said.

The IGP has invited the chief minister on the eve of CRPF Raising Day on July 27, 2020 and assured it will be observed as per Covid-19 protocols. The chief minister also acknowledged and appreciated the work of the CRPF in Manipur as well as pan India.

Further, the IGP sought the chief minister’s guidance and blessing on them in order to carry out the duties more effectively and many other important issues of CRPF was also discussed during the meeting. The CM listened to the issue patiently and promised all possible help for early resolution. The IGP assured the chief minister of rendering its best services by the CRPF in Manipur for maintaining peace and tranquility in the state.
