IDPD Manipur Chapter holds seminar

Imphal: Co-President of International Physician for Prevention of Nuclear War (IPPNW) Dr. Arun Mitra said that war not only causes suffering and pain but also takes the lives of many innocent people.

He made the statement during a one-day seminar organised by Indian Doctors for Peace and Development (IDPD), Manipur Chapter under the theme ‘Doctors Crusade for Peace and Health in the Present Scenario’ held at the Conference Hall of Babina Diagnostic Centre on Sunday.

IDPD, Manipur State President Doctor M. Nara and its Association Secretary Dr. Ksh. Manglem and Assistant Secretary Dr. Md. Rakibuddin attended as the Presidium Members at the seminar.

Co-President Dr. Arun Mitra said that it is very unfortunate that different countries of the world have been spending millions of money to strengthen their army. He said that war not only gives suffering and pain but also causes death to many innocent civilians.

At present, an unexpected violent war is currently occurring between two neighbouring countries namely Russia and Ukraine in which many innocent civilians’ lives are lost.
