Many State Thang-Ta players had benefit Khelo India scholarship with an amount of Rs. 10,000 per month.
We are extremely glad to know that the Thang Ta discipline is included in the Khelo India Centres which are going to be opened in the Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur and Ukhrul districts etc. under the strict observance of the instruction of Department of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of Manipur, he added.
But the DYASO of Thoubal and Kakching district ignored the inclusion of Thang Ta in the Khelo India Centre of Thoubal and Kakching without any reason in spite of our repeated requests and prior assurance for inclusion of Thang-Ta at the centre there.
