Imphal: NEROCA FC Sangakpham will face TRAU FC Kwakeithel in the former’s home match at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium of the Hero I-League 2019-20 at 5 pm on Saturday.

NEROCA FC is now in the 10th position, one place above the bottom in the point table, securing just 8 points and are in a critical situation in the league.

The other I-League team from Manipur TRAU FC is sitting pretty in the third place with 15 points from 9 matches.

“We will play our heart and soul to beat the other team from state NEROCA FC to climb up in the second spot but it will be hard to predict the fate of the match,” said Surmani, assistant coach TRAU FC in the pre-match conference at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium. He further said that NEROCA FC is also a good team and have many experienced and fresh players with skills in the team even though his team had beaten them earlier in their last game that too played at Main Stadium.

Surmani expressed disappointment that the club will be missing two key players Phalguni and Denechandra for tomorrow’s match. He informed that striker Phalguni will be laid off for at least one month because of the injury he received in the match with Churchil Brothers. On the other hand, left back Denechandra will not be eligible to play in tomorrow match as he got four yellow cards. We are focusing on finding a perfect replacement for Phalguni and we are ready to fight NEROCA FC for full points, Surmani added.

Head Coach Gift Rai Khan of NEROCA FC said that they could not get good results in the last two matches despite the addition of three new players Subash, Gobin and Tetty Phili Adjah due to very humid conditions. Tomorrow match will be a new chapter for us and we will try hard to dominate the opponent team TRAU FC and hope for a win, he added.

Gift told that they will be introducing a novel play, no one cannot see before with marking of two strikers of opponent team Krishnananda and Prince Will Emeka and try to surpass their strongest points.
