With an aim to seal the whole state as per the state government order of strict measures against the Covid-19 pandemic, the border fencing work along the Indo-Myanmar border is currently in progress.
Since the last few days, a joint team of Tengnoupal District Administration, Tengnoupal Police, IRB, MR, Assam Rifles of Moreh Battalion and BRTF have been undertaking the fencing work at 10 porous spots along the Myanmar border area in Tengnoupal District.
SP/Tengnoupal District Police Th. Vikramjit himself along with team of Manipur Police, IRB, MR, BRTF and Moreh battalion Assam Rifles are jointly currently undertaking the border fencing work.
According to sources, on Thursday, the joint team put up border fencing in the surrounding areas of Border Pillar Number 76, near T. Minao, Thangchong Village under Moreh Sub-Division.
A combined team led by Additional SP (Ops)/Tengnoupal District Police Th. Krishnatombi, Deputy CO 3rd IRB Thongzapao and Deputy CO 8th MR Th.Deshorjit, personnel of IRB, MR, Tengnoupal Police and BRTF are jointly maintaining tight security measures at the border area, the source added.
