Imphal: The Federation of Government Colleges Teachers’ Association (FEGOCTA), Manipur has decided to resume online classes and other academic activities. The statement was taken during a joint meeting of Manipur Government Service Federation (MGSF), FEGOCTA, MSSA and other government employees associations on Tuesday.
In a press release of FEGOCTA signed by its general secretary Dr N. Somorendro Singh, it was stated that the decision to resume the online classes and other academic activities were taken in the interest of the students as the 6th Semester examination for B. A, B. Sc, B. Com is scheduled from September 18, 2020.
However, FEGOCTA will continue the agitation after the 6th Semester examination to resolve the 7th pay issue and common interest of the employees. It was said that considering the safety of the students and employees, FEGOCTA appealed to the state government and Manipur University to give awareness about the change in the examination rules including for fifty marks, guidelines of COVID 19 in the exam centres through media to the students and parents, it added.
