IMPHAL: Under the guidance of Manipur state government led by CM N. Biren Singh, the volunteers of Manipur Bhawan on Friday has distributed various edibles items and medical equipment like masks, sanitizers to hundreds of students, stranded outside in Delhi and Gurgaon.
It was reported that they had distributed dry ration to students and other people from Manipur who are at present stranded in Delhi, three days ago. They also covered about two hundred students in Gurgaon and one hundred in Delhi. It is said that on Thursday, they distributed the materials to around four hundred students in Munirka area.
The volunteers of Manipur Bhawan distributed 500 packets at Delhi University north campus, with each packet containing 5 kgs of rice, 1 kg dal, cooking oil, masala, 1 kg onion, 1 kg potato, face masks and sanitizers.
The students expressed their gratefulness to the state government for taking up such helpful initiative during the lockdown period.
