Eid Ul Zuha observed at homes in Bpr, sweets distributed

TMB Report

Bishnupur: Though Eid Ul Zuha, one of the holiest festivals of Islam religion, was not celebrated as usual due to the lockdown in the State, Young Kwakta Organization on Sunday gifted sweets to two destitute families in Kwakta Municipal Council under Bishnupur District who are facing hard time due to lockdown.

The two destitute families are Chesham Habibur of Kwakta Ward No. 7 Theibong Makhong Thingel Leikai and Singgamayum Ramijuddin of Ward No. 6.

On the other hand, OC/ Phougakchao Ikhai Police Station Kh. Rajen Kha-Nganba under the supervision of SP/Bishnupur Priyadarsini Laishram had called on the people to celebrate Eid Ul Zuha at their homes and whoever came out of their houses were asked to return home while also advising all to wear masks.

Compared to previous years, there were lesser gatherings on the road sides even as sweets vendors came out to sell sweets with social distancing. However, they were all sent back home by the district police.

Sadly, there were some people failing to use face masks and maintaining social distancing while coming to the road in Kwakta.
