Imphal: A police team of Yairipok Police Station has arrested a drug peddler along with 18,000 numbers of contraband World Is Yours (WY) Tablets from Yairipok Bazar Torban Pareng on Wednesday around 8:40 am.
The arrested miscreant has been identified as Limjapao Haokip @ Papao (29), son of Saikhokai Haokip of Bongbang Khulen of Seichang Village in Kangpokpi District.
The police personnel of Yairipok Police Station led by OC/Yairipok Police Station Inspector Md. Riyajuddin Shah along with officers under the supervision of SP/Thoubal District Dr. S. Ibomcha Singh arrested the miscreants along with the contraband drugs from his possession.
A case has been registered at Yairipok Police Station and investigation is underway.
