Bishnupur (DIO): District Administration, Bishnupur organised Meeyamgi Numit at Kiyamba Ningshing Shanglen in Bishnupur district on Friday. Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur Lourembam Bikram heard the grievances of the people in the presence of the SP, Addl. SP, SDO/BDOs and DLOs.
Around 52 persons registered their complaints in today’s edition of the monthly initiative to address public grievances. Main issues raised by the people today related to CMHT, AB-PMJAY, Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Ration Card, Revenue matters, water connection, PM Kishan and financial assistance.
Various line departments like Chief Medical Officer, District Social Welfare, Veterinary, NYK, Handloom and Textiles, CAF & PD, CEO Bishnupur Zilla Parishad and HDFC Bank set up stalls to facilitate different services for the people. Veterinary & Animal Husbandry Department issued forms for poultry, piggery and dairy schemes under Kishan Credit Card to 26 applicants.
It may be mentioned that this month’s Meeyamgi Numit was held outside the Mini Secretariat complex for the first time ever since its launch in July this year. Further, subsequent Meeyamgi Numit events are also scheduled to be held at different locations across the district for the convenience of the people.
Meanwhile, the District Cooperative Officer, Bishnupur has notified that a district level committee headed by the Deputy Commissioner shall properly examine and recommend the names of defunct Cooperative Societies and Assn/Org/Clubs to the State Government for liquidation/deregistration under the provision of the Manipur Cooperative Societies Act, 1976 and Manipur Societies Registration Act, 1989 and Rules 2004.
The notification further informed active Cooperative Societies and Associations to submit reports of Annual General Body Meeting, Balance Sheets, Audit Report and other reports on or before November 11 to avoid liquidation/deregistration.
