DDAM extends help to deprived differently-abled persons

Imphal: Disabled Development Association Manipur (DDAM) extended help by distributing essential commodities to selected most deprived families of differently-abled persons residing in Litan under Ukhrul District, on Saturday.

The selected category were made up of those who have not received any disabled persons related government schemes and those who do not possess disabled certificate to prove themselves as differently abled persons.

General Secretary of All Tribal Disabled Union, Manipur, Chongsin Koirengsu, also took part at the distribution of essential commodities. ADC Member Yamlet Haokip also extended help by donating bags of pulses. Considering the various female related problems being faced due to the Covid-19 lockdown, ambassador of Menstrual Health Educator (Eco Femme) Jayalalita Mutum who was among the DDAM team also gifted sanitary napkins, reusable cloth pad, mainly for use by women.
