KANGPOKPI: Manipur born Darjeeling MP, Raju Bista reached out to stranded Manipuri youths in Siliguri and helped them with essential items amid lockdown owing to the pandemic COVID-19.
MP Raju Bista had received a call from the President of All Manipur Gorkha Students’ Union informing that about 13 Kuki youth from Manipur were stranded in Siliguri owing to the nationwide lockdown and they were running out of essential provision including rice, etc. said the Press release from the Darjeeling MP office.
It also said that the MP office immediately reached out to the youths and provided them with food, vegetables, cooking oil and other essential provision to help them through these difficult times.
It also conveyed gratitude to the Kuki Students’ Organization, Manipur for bringing their concern to the notice of the MP through AMGSU, who have personally intervene upon hearing that the youth were from his home state and also assured them of all possible assistance in future as well.
