Moreh: As there are chances of meeting infected but asymptomatic persons unknowingly following the relaxation of Covid-19 lockdown and resumption of livelihood activities, the Moreh Small Town Committee has conducted a Covid-19 awareness poster campaign on Tuesday.
The Moreh Small Town Committee led by its co-convenor Cecilia Chinneivah Haokip, member ADC Chandel, displayed poster templates and distribute the same to community leaders and locality leaders.
Speaking to media persons Chinneivah Haokip said government has extended lockdown and we should not neglect and take it lightly. Instead, we should stay alert and co-operate with the government measures by following the given SOP like wearing mask, using hand sanitizer and maintaining social distancing while stepping outside. A slight negligence can put everyone at risk, she warned. She also appealed to everyone to be a responsible citizen to make Moreh a Covid-19 free zone.
To impart awareness to the common masses the committee distributed posters to community leaders and locality leaders. Posters that read “No Mask No Entry” and other measures to prevent transmission of Covid-19 were pasted at shops, fuel outlets, banks, offices, community markets and vehicle stands.
The poster campaign which was organised by the Autonomous District Council in collaboration with National Health Mission (NHM) was attended by Dinesh Kumar (SDO Moreh), Sangboi Gangte (Addl SP), leaders of HTC, MCM, MMCM, Tamil Sangam, Gorkha Samaj and workers of Moreh Small Town Committee.
