IMPHAL: The Council of Teachers Association (COTA) drew the attention of the Chief Minister N.Biren Singh with high anticipation to pass the ROP rectification of the teachers during the next cabinet meeting for the welfare of the teachers and Government School Fagathansi mission.
COTA co-convener Dr. L. Ritendro Singh said while briefing news persons at Manipur Press Club that the teachers numbering around 20,000 under its association have not taken the seventh pay for more than one and half year since the ROP rectification were not passed by the government.
Moreover, COTA also expressed its happiness towards the Chief Minister for assuring to discuss its grievances in the coming cabinet meeting regarding the ROP rectification of the teachers after considering the interest of the association.
While, the association apex body (COTA) fully supports the School Fagathansi Mission with heart and soul for more achievement which was been implemented under the leadership of N.Biren Singh and also further assured to corporate and initiate in any activities which is meant for the development of the mission, he added.
He continued to mention that the association has knowledge on the ROP Rectification process that it was already in the custody of the chief minister which had been forwarded from the Finance department and relevant officials that its teachers ROP rectification were genuine and deserved to be passed, he added.
Further, the COTA appealed to the state government to pass the ROP Rectification in the coming cabinet meeting at the earliest before Christmas by considering the grievances of the teachers’ association.
