Churachandpur: Traffic Control Police, Churachandpur under the supervision of the superintendent of police Amrita Sinha destroyed 90 modified silencer pipes which were seized in June of 2019 in the presence of the media persons on Monday.
Till date, the TCP, Churachandpur has seized 28 Kenbo foreign bikes and the vehicles have been handed over to Custom Department, Imphal Division. Since June, 2019 it has issued a total number of 2,273 TR-5 Challans and collected a total fine of Rs 8,40,400.
While interacting with the press, the SP reminded the people of the district to uphold the law and reminded them that the existence of rule of law is a sign of progress in the society. She exhorted the public to always wear helmets for their safety and avoid triple riding. She also called upon the public to follow traffic regulations like avoiding wrong parking, following one way traffic in main town, not taking U-turn where not permitted, avoiding unloading during restricted hours from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm among others. The SP was assisted by Lawrence K.Munluo, Addl.SP (Ops) CCP and James Vaiphei OC TCP-CCP during the event.
