IMPHAL: Congress MLA Ak Mirabai has bashed the BJP-led coalition government in the state stating that the government is taking credit for the various development projects taken up during the 15 years Congress regime in the state.
The MLA was inaugurating the newly constructed Thoupang Shanglen at Takyel Khongbal Khumanthem Leikai on Sunday.
The Congress MLA said that economy of the country has severely been affected after the BJP regime came in the country. Despite the present BJP government in the state completing three years, the state sees no significant development except for lip service. Instead of taking up developmental works, the government keeps blaming the previous Congress regime. Blaming Congress seems to be their job. However, Chief Minister N Biren led government seems to have forgot that the various development works taken up during Congress regime have been safeguarding the prestige of the present Government, she added.
“Let they keep blaming us. People are fully aware what remarkable changes and development works have been brought about during this BJP regime in the state”, she said.
Stating that the elected MLAs are facing troubles in taking up various developmental works in their respective Assembly segments with the state government delaying in releasing MLA local area development funds, the MLA, however, vowed that she, being the local MLA, will look after the grievances of the people at her best.
The Community hall was constructed under the MLA local area development fund.
Takyel Khongban ex-ZP member A Manimala Devi, KYSPA president Bhubon, leaders of Patsoi BCC and locals attended the function.
As a part of the function, the MLA also presented gifts to the local senior citizens.
