IMPHAL: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) on Thursday hit out at the ruling BJP government stating that it should refrained from accepting awards given out by non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
Addressing the press at Congress Bhavan on Thursday, MPCC Vice President Moirangthem Hemanta Singh said that the state BJP-led government has been awarded two times such as ‘Champion of Change Award 2018’ and ‘State of the States Award 2019’ during the short spans of their governance by NGOs that which may be controversial and apparently has no values to its assessment.
Hemanta solicited in dragging the attention of people saying that the award ‘Champion of Change Award 2020’ being received by Chief Minister N. Biren was conferred by one NGO based in Delhi known as ‘Interactive Forum on Indian Economy’ where a person named as Nandan Kumar being its Chairman.
Likewise, he anxiously yearned to let know the people in the state asking which types of precise terms, analytic and interpretations of data did India Today Group had awarded the Manipur state government in regards for its outstanding achievements within such short period where in reality people are presently living in situations with several factors of worst governance in the state.
Therefore, it would be better for the BJP-led government to stop fabricating the mindset of people by accepting such controversial awards and seeking to earn the cheapest habits of receiving awards, Hemanta said.
Congress party has appealed to all the leaders of BJP led state government to end the habis of heading-off to national capital, Delhi and seeking for the commendation of awards from Non-governmental Organization (NGOs) in contrast to usually acceptable facts where government or authorities used to commend awards on outstanding NGOs for their dedicated services.
BJP believes in value based politics: MP Ranjan
BJP Manipur Pradesh on Thursday organized one day political conference in connection with 6th years of NDA government at Longjang Village in Noney district.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president Prof S Tikendra Singh attended the function as chief guest while Lok Sabha MP Dr RK Ranjan and RJ MP Leishemba Sanajaoba as special guests. BJP Nungba Mandal president Makuphun Ringmei, BJP Manipur vice presidents- N Nimbus, RK Somorjit Singh, Jonathan Tao, District in charge (Tamenglong) Th Yumjao and BJP ST Morcgha Lanjaigai Kamei attended as president and guest of honour respectively.
Speaking to the gathering, MP Dr RK Ranjan said that BJP has become the most powerful party in the country under leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and national president JP Nadda. It is NDA which successfully brought a non-Congress government in the country. After the late Prime Minister AB Bajpaye, Narendra Modi became the second BJP Prime minister since 2014. NDA has been ruling the country for 6 years term.
BJP floated in the country with the sole aim of building a prosperous and strong Indian nation. Integral humanism is the ideology of the party. If any individual becomes a member of BJP, he/she has to fulfill five commitments of the party as enshrined in Article 4 of the party constitution – Nationalism and national integration, democracy, Gandhian approach to socio-economic issues leading to establishment of the egalitarian society free from exploitation, positive secularism and value based politics, he said.
The MP claimed BJP is the only party that does value based politics. The party does not believe in false promises, looting properties of Government and others.
Stating that the 60 years long Congress rule in the country failed to maintain good relations with other sovereign nations, he said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi started maintaining good relations with other countries since the day he was sworn in as PM.
