COVID 19 Task Force Moirang AC in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society Bishnupur Branch and various local clubs organized a community awareness programme on Covid-19 at their respective localities within Moirang Assembly constituency on Sunday.
A programme was held after joining hands with Kwakta Municipal Council at Kwakta, with Youth Development Organisation Konjengbam Leikai at Konjengbam Leikai Community Hall, Moirang and along with Phubala Covid 19 Task Force at Ibudhou Loktak Maru Community Hall at Phubala. Moirang MLA P. Sharatchandra, Zila Parishad Member of 6 Thinungei Zila Parishad O. Joy, Chairperson of Kwakta Municipal Council Minarjan, Up Pradhan Phubala GP L. Sundari were the special dignitaries at the awareness functions.
The resource persons at the programme were chairman of Indian Red Cross Society Manipur State branch Dr. Y. Mohen, nodal officer of CQC Moirang Dr. Ksh. Umananda, director of Childline Bishnupur L. Pishak Amasung, officer in charge of Moirang Police RK Anilkumar and they gave valuable inputs on staying at a safe distance from Covid-19, the current status of the pandemic in Manipur, correct methods of using hand sanitizers and social distancing details.
Nodal Officer CQC Moirang AC Dr. Ksh Umananda raised concern over the gradual spread of the dreaded virus and stated that many lives have been lost due to the disease all over the world including the state. The disease has now become a part of our life and consequently we need to have knowledge of the dos and don’ts about it in order to keep it under control, he stated.
