Bishnupur: One day awareness program on Covid-19 was held at Thinungei Awang Community Hall in Bishnupur District jointly organised by Health & Wellness Centre Thinungei and Covid 19 Task Force Committee Thinungei, on Tuesday.

Community Health Officer of Health & Wellness Centre Thinungei Yengkhom Sonity, Chairman Indian Red Cross Society Imphal East District Branch Narendra Ningomba and Dr. Kh. Aken attended as main dignitaries and spokespersons of the awareness.

Speaking on the occasion, Narendra Ningomba said that Covid-19 is our enemy, but we among ourselves are thinking as an enemy without knowing the true figure of the enemy and even putting up road barricades evading ourselves from one another. Such nature will not help in fighting against Covid-19, he added.

Narendra Ningomba said, we take our loved ones, who are infected with Covid-19, as an enemy. Thus, we need to stop thinking of those Doctors, Nurses, Heath Workers and those who are out there to protect us from Covid-19 as Frontline Warriors as our enemy.

We humans are not enemies of each other, but Covid-19 is the only enemy of ours, he added.

Narendra Ningomba further said that following the Covid-19 SOP guidelines is the only option to protect ourselves and our society from the deadly Coronavirus and added that it is high time to draw out the effective precautionary measures to contain from the Coronavirus.
