Bishnupur: As part of World Breast Cancer Month, an awareness programme on Breast Cancer under the theme “Give hope, Save life” was held on Tuesday organised by A/B Health and wellness Center Phubala at Sunusiphai Awang Community Hall.

The awareness witnessed the presence of CMO Bishnupur Dr L. Gojendro, NCD District Nodal officer Dr. Resma, District Nodal officer HWC Dr. Brojen, Supervisor ICDS Bishnupur Y. Chaobihal as presidium members and resource persons respectively.

Dr. L. Gojendro said that Breast Cancer is a kind of disease which mainly causes women of age between 35 to 50 years and if we are able to examine the disease at the early stage, then it can be treated to fully recover.

Thus, womenfolks need to examine their breast to timely detect the breast cancer disease and let’s try to make Bishnupur District a Breast Cancer free district, Dr. L. Gojendro asserted.

Community Officer Health and Wellness Center Phubala T. Helena felicitated 3 breast cancer survivor women with gifts and demonstrated how to examine breast cancer by ourselves.
