ATSUM notifies on election of executive members

IMPHAL: The election for the new executive members of All Tribal Students’ Union, Manipur (ATSUM) for the tenure of 2020-2022 will be processed from 9:00 AM of September 19, 2020 at Amity Hall, Adimjati Complex, Chingmeirong Imphal.

Consequent to the expiry of term of the All Tribal Students’ Union Manipur (ATSUM) 2017-2020, and as per the ATSUM General Assembly 2020 resolution No. 2 & 3 dated 7th September 2020: Formation of Election Commission 2020-22 and subsequent formation of Search Committee 2020, election of new executives for the term 2020-2022 will be held on the 19th September, 2020 (Saturday) at Amity Hall, Adimjati Complex, Chingmeirong Imphal, Lunsei Touthang, Presiding Officer and Adani David Choro, Returning Officer, ATSUM Election Commissions, 2020 informed in a press statement.

Election will be held only for 16 posts while various other posts, will be nominated in due course of time by the newly elected executive body, they stated.

As per the press release, the posts for which election will be held are as follows: President, Vice President, General Secretary, Asst. General Secretary, Finance Secretary, Information & Publicity Secretary, Education Secretary, Rights & Reservation Secretary, Legal Secretary, Youth Affairs & Sports Secretary, Forest & Environment Secretary         , Social & Culture Secretary, Assembly Speaker, Deputy Speaker, Assembly Secretary and Deputy Assembly Secretary.

That, Election process will begin from 09:00 AM of 19th September 2020 and for further detail information, office of the ATSUM Election Commission 2020 may be contacted at Mobile No. 9436894644/7628020574, the Election Commissions stated.

That, ATSUM federating units, tribe based student bodies and district apex student bodies are requested to attend the election on time without fail, it notified and moreover, the ATSUM Election Commission has appealed to all its members to adhere to the SOP guideline laid down by the Government to combat and contain the spread of COVID-19 and render all possible help to Govt. agencies in the light COVID-19.
