Imphal: As a part of security measures taken up by State Police in order to enforce the total lockdown and curfew and also to prevent the spread of Corona virus in the State, State Police continued to arrest curfew and lock down violators.
ADGP (LO) L. Kailun in a press release stated that on Thursday, Manipur Police Department crack down 561 curfew and lockdown violators and 300 vehicles.
They were produced before the Magistrate and imposed fined of Rs. 38, 700.
ADGP (LO) appeal the public to follow the advice and guidelines issued by the State Government and stay indoors for their own safety and safety for the public and requested those who came to purchase essential items not to use vehicles and also to maintain social distance.
Manipur Police Department will continue to enforce strictly the curfew and lockdown in the days to come, ADGP (LO) states.
