IMPHAL: During present pandemic situation the blood banks were facing acute shortage of blood donors. Understanding the shortage, Indian Army in collaboration with Lions Club of Brahmaputra Valley and Assam Medical College and Hospital (AMCH) organised a ‘Blood Donation Camp’ at Dibrugarh, on Monday.
The state of art model blood bank at AMCH facilitated the successful conduct of the camp.
Indian Army provided much needed assistance to the state medical authorities and contributed towards relief to emergent medical cases. A total of 150 blood donors from Indian Army participated voluntarily in the blood donation camp, PIB (Defence Wing) said in a press note.
