AR provides humanitarian assistance to Nampisha villager

IMPHAL: Amidst COVID-19 pandemic and lockdown, the locals in the remote villages of Kamjong district are facing problems in terms of accessing necessary medical requirements.  An elderly local of Nampisha village suffering from acute urinary retention with distended bladder was given immediate necessary treatment by medical team under the Medical Officer of Nampisha post, Kamjong.

The patient named Mr Ngachonmi Sharudang aged 88 yrs was suffering from Benign prostate Hypertrophy (BPH) since one year but he started experiencing acute pain on 27 July and Village Authority Nampisha approached the Nampisha post of Assam Rifles for immediate help in treating the patient. The Company Commander along with Medical Officer went to the individual’s house and provided immediate relief to the villager while undertaking all the COVID-19 protocols. The patient has been referred to CHC Kamjong for further treatment.

The locals appreciated the speedy response of Assam Rifles and also applauded the efforts in maintaining security and peace in the difficult and challenging times of COVID-19 pandemic.
