IMPHAL: Mantripukhri Battalion of 9 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) provided essential food items, Masks and Surgical gloves to the ‘Asha Bhavan,’ Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Imphal on Sunday.
IGAR(S) informed in a press release that the civic action team of the battalion with an aim to reach out the needy and to mitigate the hardship amidst the prevailing situation due to COVID-19, provided essential food items and prevention equipment’s to the present residents of Asha Bhavan, Drug Rehabilitation Centre in Imphal. The battalion while appreciating the efforts put in by the Organization in providing holistic care and support to rehabilitate and curb the drug menace in the state, assured every possible help, the IGAR(S) said.
Troops of Assam Rifles are continuously assisting and contributing in the fight against the pandemic COVID-19 by conducting such initiatives and providing essential items based on the prevailing situation assessment. All units are maintaining contact with civil administration so as to provide assistance to local population, whenever required.
