AR extends humanitarian assistance

IMPHAL: Sehlon Battalion of 28 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) successfully evacuated a 22 years old, 3 months pregnant lady Mrs Tingkhoching of Sehlon village on 18 April 2020. 

The lady experienced excessive pain and bleeding, which was immediately attended by the Battalion Medical Staff after the issue was brought to notice by her husband, Mr Sonkhopao on 18 April 2020. She was immediately admitted to Battalion Hospital for initial checkup and was rendered first aid after initial examination, IGAR(S) informed in a press release.

The battalion medical team successfully stabilized the peculiar case of premature bleeding during pregnancy. The battalion took no time in extending medical support including medicines, transportation and further referred the case to Public Health Centre, Chakpikarong. The lady was successfully evacuated in unit ambulance and is now under observation at Civil Health Care Centre.

The locals expressed their gratitude and appreciated the noble gesture undertaken by the Assam Rifles for the welfare of the locals.
