Imphal: The Manipur Rifle (Male) Waiting List 2016 batch has threatened to start a strong agitation if the state government and home department fail to give an approval to the joining of 44 candidates within December 20, 2020.
The statement was made by the advisor of MR (Male) Waiting list 2016 batch Shivrati Maibam during a press meet held at Manipur Press Club on Friday.
Addressing media persons, Shivrati Maibam drew the attention of state government and home department to give the approval order for the joining of 44 candidates that were in the waiting list. He said that the results of candidates in the waiting list was declared on June 25, 2020 and after ten days’ gap of result declaration, the verification process was completed, which took around 15 days. But unfortunately, the waiting list candidates have waited for around six months till now on but no action has been initiated till date regarding their absorption in the force.
He further appealed to the state government and home department to give the necessary approval in consideration of the suffering and difficulties being faced by the 44 candidates who are in the waiting list. If the state government and home department fail to take appropriate actions within the stipulated time, then a strong agitation will be enforced from the next morning, the group warned.
