IMPHAL: The All Manipur Working Journalists Union (AMWJU) has appealed different print and electronic media firms in the state to participate at the one day media campaign programme which is to be organized on July 2, by the directorate of environment and climate change under the theme “Save Nambul River” with the objective to save the ancestral Nambul River.
In a press note of AMWJU signed by its general secretary Khwairakpam Naoba, it was stated that the reporters have to submit a written letter from the editor from their concerned media house within July 1 with an assurance to publish the accurate reporting of the campaign. Reporting time is 6.00 am at the before heading to the venue for the day’s programme.
It is also mentioned that the one day media campaign will be conducting a competition of best reporting, best photography and short film from among the print and electronic media firms. The short film will have a duration of five minutes whereas the participating photographers should submit not less than five photos for the competition.
The report, photo and short film can be submitted for the date of the programme till July 6. AMWJU further requested the people residing on the sides of the Nambul River to avoid any interruption during this campaign programme.
