Ccpur: In a huge sigh of relief for the denizens of Churachandpur, all 150 close contacts of an infected person who were tested for Covid-19 through contact tracing have tested negative for the disease. The infected person was a laboratory technician who was transmitted with Covid-19 from a BSF jawan. But a positive case was recorded from the community quarantine center located at Saikot.
In view of the fear psychosis over community infection at Churachandpur, more than 408 samples were collected for testing of Covid-19 in the district today, including 163 persons who were identified after contact tracing by the concerned authority. Yesterday, more than 150 persons were tested after the rare positive case from outside the quarantine centres was detected at Advance Diagnostic Centre of Churachandpur.
