Imphal: The All India Football Federation (AIFF) has announced the period of Season 2020-21 and Inter State Transfer/Loan for 2020-21 which had been influenced due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
The period of Season 2020-21 will be from 1st August to 21st May 2021 as well as 1st Transfer Window will be from 1st August to 31st October 2020. The 2nd Transfer Window is from 1st January to 31st January 2021 and Registration Period for Amateur players will be from 1st August to 31st May 2020.
The mode of operation is that Inter State Transfer/Loan for players both male and female shall be applied solely through Centralized Registration System (CRS); Professional players must have a written contract with a club. Minimum period of Contract shall be from its effective date until the end of the season, while the maximum period shall be 5 years; Minor players (U-18 years) may sign a professional contract only if the said contract shall be countersigned by his/her parents and or legal guardians, and maximum period of such contract will be 3 years. Players under the age of 16 years may not sign a contract under any circumstances; Minimum period of Loan shall be the time between two registration periods; Amateur players shall submit “Amateur Consent Form 01” in place of Contract. “Amateur Retention Form 02” and are to be submitted at least 15 days prior to the end of the current season (from 2021-22) which is available on the notification of CRS or at AMFA Office. If a club fails to upload Form 02 on the CRS before the end of the season, the players shall cease to be registered with the concerned club at the end of the season. An amateur player cannot be transferred on Loan and Clubs are asked to study the AIFF Regulations on the Status and Transfer of players carefully for more details which is available on the notification of CRS.
