IMPHAL: An Agriculture and Allied Sector Skill training programme was launched on Saturday at Hiyanglam Terapishak Khongnang Makhong in Kakching district. The month long training programme is being conducted under the financial support of M/S Ibudhou Panganba Enterprises, and organized by the Integrated Institute of Sustainable Management (IISM).
According to reports, on the first day of the programme, the director of the department of education and skill management, IIMS, Joejo Yumnam spoke on the topic “Selection of Appropriate Cultivation Site, Design and Construct Mushroom Unit and Commercial Type of Mushroom” while Manouwer Ali spoke on the topic “Straw Selection, Sorting Cutting, Treatment and Soaking.”
Speaking at the function, the proprietor of M/S Ibudhou Panganba Enterprises Elangbam Ratankumar asserted that such training programme envisage to transform those potential youths who are struggling to find jobs but have the willingness to put a solid effort in entrepreneurships.
Altogether, 40 trainees each will be imparted training in each trade and the number of trade will be expanded for the benefit of the people with the induction of new trades based on their demands, he stated.
The programme was attended by the Adhyaksha Kakching District Phuritsabam Jiten, Hiyanglam Zilla Parishad member Elangbam Ranjana, Joejoe Yumnam and founder patron of IISM Dr. N. Indrakumar as the chief guest, president and guests of honor.
