9 boys from state in Indian U-16 National Camp

Imphal: Nine boys from Manipur will be participating at the U-16 Boys Indian National Team Camp to be held at AIFF Academy, Goa from November 20, 2020 as part of the preparation for the AFC U-16 Championship which is slated for next year.

The state’s players who were selected for camp are Paogoumang Singson (Defender), S. Pritam Meitei (Defender), Ranjan Soren (Midfielder), Renedy Meitei (Midfielder), L. Sibhajit (Midfield), T. Maheson (Midfield), L. Taison (Midfield), S. Yoihenba (Midfield) and Shidarth Nongmeikapam (Forward).

A total of 30 players from across the country, including the nine players from Manipur have been called up for the camp.

The players and staff converged at Goa on November 20, and outdoor training activities will only resume on November 30, keeping the COVID-safety procedures in mind.

The other players at the camp are- Goalkeeper: Aman Kumar Sahani, Som Kumar, Mohit Singh Dhami, Lionel Daryl Rymmei, Ishan Gyan.

Defender: Shameek Caine Vas, Amandeep, Anish Mazumder, Halen Nongtdu, Lalremtluanga Fanai, Abhishek Singh Tekcham, Chaman, Kartik Choudhary.

Midfielder: Aula Siba Prasad, Emboklang Nongkhlaw, Ebindas Yesudasan, Satvik Sharma.

Forward: Suhail Ahmad Bhat, Himanshu Jangra, Shubho Paul, Isac Zomuanpuia.

The training camp will be conducted under the head coach Bibiano Fernandes.
