84 more test positive, recovery rate improves by 75%

IMPHAL: 84 more fresh cases including 64 civilians and 20 personnel of CAPF were detected in the last 24 hours, taking the total count of state’s COVID-19 positive cases to 7106, informed a statement issued by Dr Shasheekumar Manganga, Additional Director Health Department and Spokesperson Covid Common Control Room.

The 64 civilians include 48 males and 16 females and 51 of them have no significant travel history.

The cases were detected for the virus at Viral Research & Diagnostic Laboratory  JNIMS (20), Thoubal district (13), Kangpokpi (1), Shija Hospital (2), Imphal west RAT (5), Imphal east (4), Senapati Truenat (1), Advance Hospital (1), Jiribam (7), CMC (1), RIMS RAT (5), Bishnupur (4), kakching (1), Samaritan Hospital (1), Babina Diagnostic (10), Raj Medicity (4), Churachandpur (3).

They belong to Imphal West district (14), Imphal east district (16),Kangpokpi (2), Chandel (3), Noney (1), Thoubal (8), Jiribam (7), kakching (1), Churachandpur (5), Bishnupur (7). All the infected patients will be shifted to COVID care facilities and necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, added the statement of CCR.

Meanwhile, in the last 24 hours, 194 Covid patients were discharged from CAPF (32), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (31), Senapati (1), Jiribam (16), CCC UNACCO (64), Noney (1), CCC Thoubal (28), JNIMS (3), JNV Chandel (4), PR Kakching (12)  after they were found Covid free on RT PCR test.

The state saw an improved recovery rate by 75.40 percent on Monday with altogether 5358 patients having recovered. State’s active Covid-19 cases stand at 11710 including 11184 civilians and 526 security personnel.
