Imphal: The Luchingpurel Chingsubam Akaba Ningsing Lup (LUCANIL) and Pandam Management Committee (PMC) have observed the 76th birth anniversary cum 7th foundation of Pandam Eveninger at Shrine Integrity Park, Wakha Leima Ching, Imphal East on Monday
Speaking to media persons at the sideline of the programme, Headman of Hongman Khongbal Tangkhul village Akhui Zimik said that if people of both hills and valley distinguish the value of unveiling both the statues of Luchingpurel Chingsubam Akaba and Rinsgshung Suisa at the same place then there will be a peaceful co-existence and development in the State.
He further said that there were lots of crises happening among the people of hills about the unveiling of both statues at the same place saying that how can a great political leader who was also an MP like Suisa which had a high status can have his status unveiled along with a person who has limited status. Many people questioned a lot on this matter particularly the hills brethren. However, the main objective of unveiling both the statues at the same place was that they both have a common philosophy and views for people of both hills and valleys, he added.
Akaba, a leader from the valley has a sentiment for the entire people of Manipur, same as that of R. Suisa, a leader from hills who have the same feelings for all people. There is no differentiated mindset between Meitei and Tangkhul communities and other communities in them. He said that they love all the people surviving in both the valley and hills region of Manipur.
As an appreciation during the pandemic, the organizers handed a cash of Rs. 10, 000 and face masks, hand sanitizers to the president of Manipur Hawker Association (MHA) Ajit Wangkhemcha and also handed a cash of Rs. 10, 000 to Dr. Uthan, JNIMS who treated the first Covid-19 patient of Manipur for his dedication and contributions towards the society during the pandemic.
But later, Dr. Uthan extended the monetary gift given to him for depositing it in CM Covid-19 Relief fund. The dignitaries on the day handed over essential items to Wakha villagers.
