Imphal: In the past 24 hours, 362 persons (205M, 157F) from the general population were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.
A press release issued by Covid-19 Common Control Room informed that the positive persons were tested at JNIMS (68), RIMS (24), Imphal East (8), Imphal West (1), Raj Medicity (12), SWISS (1), Sielmat Hospital (2), Shija Hospital (40), Jivan Hospital (8), Advance Hospital (4), Babina Diagnostics (103), Escent Diagnostics (35), Bishnupur (11), Kakching (16), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (10), Chandel (4), Tamenglong (2), Kangpokpi (8), Senapati (2), Noney (1) and Kamjong (1).
It is informed that the positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (122), Imphal West (146), Thoubal (14), Bishnupur (22), Kakching (23), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (14), Chandel (5), Tamenglong (2), Senapati (2), Kangpokpi (8), Noney (2) and Kamjong (1). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in pla ce.
The release announced that in the last 24 hours, 7 persons aged 45 years female from Thoubal), 64 years female from Imphal West, 50 years male from Imphal West, 59 years male from Imphal East, 43 years male CAPF from Kakching, 60 years female from Imphal West and 54 years male from Thoubal districts were expired at Shija Hospital (3), Raj Medicity (1) and RIMS (3) Hospital respectively.
The cumulative number of deaths is 422. The total number of discharged persons is 107.
They are from CAPF (10), Home Isolation (75), RIMS (16), RD Wing (2), RAJMED (1) and SHRI (3). The cumulative number of positive cases is 32,523 (General Population-28,938 and Central Security Personnel 3,585). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 30,030 (General Population-26,568 and Central Security Personnel 3,462). The number of active cases is 2, 071 (General Population-1953 and Central Security Personnel-118). The recovery rate of the state is 92.33 percent.
It further informed that the air passengers who travelled to the State on April 25 by Indigo Flight 6E-6181 in rows 16-21 and 6E-21 in rows 29-35 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective District Surveillance Officers (1DSO) immediately.
As per latest information, the total number of persons vaccinated is 2,09074. All persons above 45 years are advised to get vaccinated immediately at vaccination centres of RIMS, JNIMS, District Hospitals, CHCs, PHCs and selected private hospitals.
