IMPHAL: Altogether 597 truckers and commuters who entered into the state were medically screened at Mao, Jiribam gate on Tuesday. 470 truckers and 49 commuters entered into the state via Mao gate while 78 via Jiribam gate.
According to State Surveillance Officer, IDSP, Manipur, altogether 532 truck drivers and handyman were medically screened at ISBT (Truck), Khuman Lampak and they were found having no symptoms of infection. 351 drivers and handymen were screened at at ISBT (Truck), Khuman Lampak while 138 at YAS complex Khuman Lampak and 43 at Sekmai Gas plant.
The report further informed that 133 persons are currently under different Government Quarantine facilities in the state. 51 new individuals were kept under Government quarantine centres today. Of the total 608 persons under Government quarantine facilities, 475 have completed their quarantine period. There is no person under Home quarantine as all 486 had already completed their quarantine period.
On Tuesday, 5 samples were tested at VRDL laboratory at JNIMS and all results came out negative for COVID-19. So far, a cumulative of 576 samples has been tested. No person is being kept at the isolation wards of RIMS and JNIMS at present.
A cumulative of 2,00,515 persons who entered the state through different entry points including Imphal airport have been screened so far. COVID-19 Common Control Room attended as many as 287 calls on Tuesday, added the report.
