Imphal: With the Covid-19 lockdown 3.0 kicks off in the country and State, State Police still continues to crack down curfew and lock down violators, who are not wearing face mask in public and not maintaining social distancing to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in the State.
ADGP (LO) L. Kailun in a press note stated that around 311 curfew and lockdown violators along with 477 vehicles were detained during a drive conducted on Monday.
The detained violators were imposed fined of Rs. 67,150.
ADGP (LO) in the press note has warned those who violates the curfew and lockdown will be dealt with strong legal action under National Disaster Management Act, 2005.
The detained violators, vehicles and fines were collected from Imphal East, Imphal West, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Chandel, Jiribam, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul District Police Station during the drive carried out on Monday, respectively.
