308 truck drivers, handymen screened; no new cases so far

IMPHAL: Altogether 308 drivers and handymen were screened at ISBT (Truck), YAS Complex Khuman Lampak and Sekmai Gas plant on Friday. Moreover, the state has reported no new cases so far.

According to State Surveillance Officer, IDSP, Manipur, 220 truck drivers and Handymen were screened at ISBT, 71 at YAS Complex and 17 at Sekmai Gas plant. No persons were found with symptoms during the screening. A cumulative of 7632 drivers and handymen have been screened till date.

And according to the report, five persons with symptoms have been kept under quarantine cumulatively.

No new positive case of COVID-19 is reported till date while 10 samples tested at VRDL, JNIMS came out negative on Friday. A cumulative total of 402 samples including today’s 10 samples submitted have been tested so far.

Altogether 80 persons are currently under Home Quarantine and Government Quarantine facilities. 12 new individuals were kept under Government quarantine centres today.

On Friday, 298 persons entered the state via different entry points. 205 persons entered the state via Mao gate, 87 via Jiribam and 6 via Jessami.  There were screened at the gates by the medical teams.

Altogether 194840 persons entered the state through different entry points including Imphal airport.
