IMPHAL: The 20th General Council Meeting on the theme “Protect Jobs Right and Health Privacy” by the Centre of Medical & Sales Representatives’ Union (North East Region) was held at G.M. Hall on Friday.
The event was graced with a candle lighting ceremony by Dr. Ch. Arunkumar Singh, Medical Superintendant of RIMS as the Chief Guest, Kangjam Chaoba Singh, President of Manipur Library Association as the Chief Advisor of the function.
The entire member attended on the event also paid homage to their First General Secretary of CRU Union (L) Kh Iboyaima Singh with floral tribute.
Speaking to the press, President of the Organizing Committee N. Dilipkumar Singh stated that the GC Meeting was held for the first time in the state. He told that such gathering of all the working class people will help in strengthening Trade Union activities and also the Medical Representatives in the state for their rights and safeguarding protection under salesman and employees Act 1976.
He extended that the Union will stand in unity for any member during critical situation that bother their rights as a working class person and therefore, the meeting will help all the members of Medical Representatives to acknowledge in conscious of their rights as an employee regarding minimum wages, maternity leave and job security, etc, he concluded.
